What IGOTC is
IGOTC (igotc.com) is a US-based home security comparison and referral service. We research residential and small-business alarm systems, monitoring plans and smart home security products from major providers — principally ADT, Vivint and Alder — and we explain the differences in plain language so you can decide what fits your home and budget.
We are not a security manufacturer, alarm installer or monitoring station, and we do not employ the technicians who install or monitor systems. When you are ready to buy, we connect you with a provider partner who quotes, installs and contracts with you directly.
How we make money (disclosure)
IGOTC is free for visitors. When you submit a quote request or call the number on this site and go on to be matched with a provider partner, that partner may pay us a referral fee. That is how the site is funded.
Because we are paid by providers, we keep two rules: we do not accept payment in exchange for a particular rating, ranking or recommendation, and we tell you when a link is a partner link. Referral fees never change the price you pay — provider pricing is set by the provider's own quote.
How we describe providers
Pages on this site are written from provider documentation, published plan information and our own review of the buying process. Contract lengths, equipment bundles, installation fees and monitoring prices change often and differ by address, so treat any figure on this site as a typical range rather than a quote.
Before you sign anything, confirm the current price, contract term, cancellation terms and warranty directly with the provider.
What we will not do
- We do not publish awards, ratings or accreditation claims we cannot source.
- We do not invent statistics. If a number appears without a named source, tell us and we will fix or remove it.
- We do not sell your quote-request details to anyone other than the provider partner matching your request.
- We do not offer installation, monitoring or repair services ourselves.
